## Refund Requests

As a nonprofit , Open Source Collective (OSC) operates on the principle that donations are voluntary contributions made to support the mission and activities of the projects we host. Since donations are not payments for specific deliverables or services, refunds are generally rare and granted only granted in exceptional circumstances.

Please keep in mind:

* Refunds cannot be issued more than 120 days after the original donation date.

## How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at <hello@oscollective.org> with the following information:

* Donation URL — the full URL of the donation transaction (e.g., `https://opencollective.com/opensource/expenses/123456`)
* Transaction Details — confirm the date and amount of the donation
* Authorization Confirm — whether the contribution was made with your authorization

As a reminder, refunds are generally not granted.
